Dominated by a very dark palette, especially black, the Fall/Winter 2022 collection paid a nice tribute to several Japanese designers who started to be successful in Paris during this decade, such as Yohji Yamamoto or Comme des Garçons by Rei Kawakubo. Pompilio also made nods to traditional Japanese formal wear, while taking Onitsuka Tiger’s sportswear vocabulary into a more energetic and relevant territory for today’s youth.
