For Officine Générale‘s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, Pierre Mahéo invited us into his world, setting the stage at the quaint Café Le Rouquet on the Boulevard Saint Germain, choosing a venue that resonates with the authentic Parisian spirit. This 1950s café, untouched by time, provided an intimate setting where guests sat at cozy tables and enjoyed champagne and light bites.
The collection exuded understated sophistication, staying true to Mahéo’s signature aesthetic. Embracing the notion that simplicity carries its own depth, he introduced subtle changes that made a significant impact. Pants took on a new shape with increased width and deep cuffs, paired with shorter coats that accentuated their flow. The color palette remained grounded in classic shades of black, navy, gray, beige, khaki and chocolate, with a gentle nod to novelty through delicate hints of cotton candy.
Layering played a key role in the creation of each ensemble. Models of all ages showed a harmonious mix of shirts, knits, jackets, bombers and peacoats, creating looks that were both comfortable and sophisticated. Softly structured jackets adorned with leather floral brooches added a touch of elegance, while accessories such as chic bucket handbags and necklaces with carabiner-style charms completed the outfits.
Mahéo’s attention to detail extended to styling choices that reflected a seamless transition from day to night. Slip dresses paired with jackets and trousers, as well as funnel necks worn over button-downs, demonstrated versatility. The inclusion of voluminous scarves and cozy vests added warmth and depth to the collection.
The atmosphere during the presentation was warm and inviting, reflecting the ethos of the collection. Guests were not just spectators, but part of the setting, experiencing the charm of Parisian life. Models moved through the café and its terrace, bringing the clothes to life against the backdrop of a bustling street, yet in the tranquility of a beloved local spot.
