Stepping into a new era of sustainable fashion, Marc Jacobs and Melissa, the renowned fashion footwear brand, have joined forces to create an innovative, sustainable footwear line.
The Marc Jacobs x Melissa collection offers a trio of stylish footwear, drawing from the vibrant color palette of Marc Jacobs’ ready-to-wear lineup. The choices range from the unique “Becky” platform sandal, the comfortable “Clog” to the laid-back “Slide“, all adorned with Marc Jacobs’ distinctive monogram print, highlighting the brand’s signature style.
Model Iris Law graces the ad campaign for this collection. Shot in the heart of New York by Valentin Herfray and styled by Sydney Rose Thomas, Law elegantly dons outfits from the Marc Jacobs Pre-Fall 2023 collection paired with the innovative Marc Jacobs x Melissa footwear.
To mark this noteworthy collaboration, Galeria Melissa NY is hosting an exclusive installation. The collection will be available for purchase globally at Galeria Melissa NY, shopmelissa.com, Clubes Melissa, as well as Marc Jacobs stores and marcjacobs.com.
Each model in the collection integrates eco-conscious materials. The Melissa Clog + Marc Jacobs is designed with a mono-material derived from bio-based EVA, incorporating at least 25% vegetable content. Available in shades of black, off-white, red, blue and silver, the Clog retails at $250.
Adding to the collection is the Melissa Becky + Marc Jacobs, constructed using Melflex, Melissa’s 100% recycled plastic. With a lightweight PU-filled sole and an insole covered with fabric made from recycled PET bottles, it comes in red, off-white, black and silver for $195.
Finally, the Melissa Slide bears Marc Jacobs’ signature on an embossed upper. Created using Melflex and a sole of 100% bio-based EVA, this model comes in red, blue, off-white and black, retailing at $150.
Since its inception in 1979, Melissa has a proud history of partnering with top designers such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler, Karl Lagerfeld, Vivienne Westwood, Jason Wu, and Jeremy Scott.
