Louis Vuitton‘s latest capsule collection, inspired by Pharrell Williams‘ “Paris to VA” Fall/Winter 2024 Men’s show, seamlessly blends workwear themes with the Maison’s signature craftsmanship. The collection includes ready-to-wear, the limited-edition Keepall 50 Toolbox bag and a highly anticipated boot collaboration with Timberland.
The ready-to-wear line effortlessly blends traditional workwear elements with Louis Vuitton’s attention to detail. Versatile and refined suits in overdyed jacquards, trucker jackets and coats with sculptural volume showcase the brand’s expertise. Intricate details such as turquoise buttons, beads, embroidery and studs elevate each piece, turning them into true works of art.
One of the standout pieces in the collection is the Keepall 50 Toolbox bag, a utility-inspired take on the iconic Keepall. Crafted from natural leather, the bag features multiple exterior pockets, rivets and a coated Monogram Canvas lining. Complementary accessories, including a steel flask, cigarette case and silk scarf, add to the collection’s appeal.
The collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Timberland marks the debut of their highly anticipated workwear boots. Crafted at Louis Vuitton’s Italian shoe atelier in Fiesso d’Artico, the LV 6-inch boot is available in two styles and several adaptations. Crafted from premium Italian nubuck leather, these boots feature an insulation system, seam-sealed waterproof construction and a signature rubber lug outsole. Available in traditional wheat or black, the boots feature a monogrammed tongue lining, Louis Vuitton eyelets and leather tags.
Expanding on the 6-inch silhouette, the LV boot comes in five different styles, each featuring the iconic rubber lug outsole. Options include ankle boots, ranger boots, pull-on mid boots and harness boots, available in wheat or black grained leather or nubuck. Prices range from €2,200 EUR to €2,600 EUR.
For collectors and luxury enthusiasts, Louis Vuitton is releasing fifty special editions of the 6-inch ankle boot, priced at €75,000 EUR. The luxurious boot is made of Classic Monogram waterproof Italian leather and features 18K gold LV tongue initials, eyelets, lace tips and tag hardware. The tongue initials are inscribed with “The Sun Is Shining On Us,” a phrase from Pharrell Williams’ debut show for Louis Vuitton in June 2023. The boot comes in a bespoke Monogram leather and Plexiglas shoebox with VVN trims, as seen on the Fall/Winter 2024 runway.
Louis Vuitton has collaborated with other footwear brands before. When Virgil Abloh was their menswear designer, they made their own Nike Air Force 1 sneakers.
Pharrell Williams has also worked with Timberland in the past. He designed a pair of Timberland boots for his Billionaire Boys Club clothing line. Last year, he sold a pair of Timberland boots that he designed himself. They sold for $7,500 USD on his website, Joopiter.
The capsule will be available for pre-order on louisvuitton.com and the LV app from July 18th, 2024, and in select stores worldwide from August 8th, 2024.
