Louis Vuitton‘s Fall/Winter 2024 campaign is a celebration of Nicolas Ghesquière’s decade-long tenure, showcasing his uncanny ability to blend the brand’s rich heritage with cutting-edge innovation. This season, the French luxury house seamlessly blends its rich heritage of trunk making with avant-garde silhouettes.
At the forefront of the campaign is Dutch top model Rianne van Rompaey, captured through the lens of renowned photographer David Sims. Rianne is surrounded by Louis Vuitton‘s iconic trunks.
Key pieces from the collection take center stage, with a chunky turtleneck, peplum dress and sheer skirt showcasing Ghesquière’s fearless approach to fashion. The incorporation of luxurious fur accents adds a touch of refined elegance that elevates each look to new heights. Marie-Amélie Sauvé’s masterful styling shines through each carefully curated ensemble, highlighting the collection’s unique blend of textures and silhouettes.
Beyond the captivating stills, an accompanying film featuring Rianne brings the collection to life. The model interacts with a mesmerizing chandelier piece conceived by Philippe Parreno and designed by James Chinlund, creating a surreal and enchanting atmosphere. The unexpected combination of elements – the avant-garde chandelier, vintage travel trunks, experimental contemporary fashion, pulsating techno music and statement fur gloves – demonstrates Ghesquière’s unparalleled ability to find harmony in seemingly disparate components.
As Rianne moves gracefully through the film, the fluidity of the collection is showcased in perfect sync with the driving beat of the music. Lucia Pieroni’s glam make-up artistry and Duffy’s wavy hair styling complete the overall aesthetic.
