“That independent, New York, strong, stealth woman – that is who I’m designing for”, said Catherine Holstein. And, that can be felt and seen in her Spring/Summer 2023 collection for Khaite.
On her runway set in Manhattan’s Meatpacking neighborhood, she sent out her dependable mix of sequins and silk fringe, leather and denim, and a good amount of python print because she “was going through a very David Lynch ‘Lost Highway’, ‘Wild at Heart’ phase this summer”.
There were also, of course, beautifully structured blazers, sheer and form-fitting tulle dresses, and casual but refined wide-leg pants, not to mention featherweight lace mesh bodysuits and corsets.
