The French luxury shoemaker J.M. Weston and Japanese fashion label Sacai have released their third consecutive partnership, dropping on November 7th, 2025. The collaboration reimagines two signature models from the storied French house through Creative director Chitose Abe’s avant-garde lens.

For the Fall/Winter 2025 season, J.M. Weston and Sacai introduced two unisex models: the 180 loafer and the Golf derby. Both shoes feature cow-printed calfskin uppers, an unexpected material choice that pushes boundaries while respecting the heritage of both brands. The pieces debuted during Sacai’s Fall/Winter 2025 runway show earlier this year.

Both models sit atop an oversized sole, which has become the defining characteristic of the J.M. Weston and Sacai partnership. This exaggerated sole adds a contemporary weight to the otherwise refined silhouettes, creating a visual tension between traditional French shoemaking and modern Japanese design.
Manufacturing takes place at J.M. Weston’s Limoges factory, where artisans apply generations-old techniques. Since 1891, the company has crafted premium footwear, specializing in Goodyear welted construction and hand-finished details. sacai brings its deconstructionist approach to the collaboration, having been known since its founding in 1999 for splicing unexpected elements.

The cow-print calfskin is a departure from previous collaborations between the two brands. Earlier releases featured leopard-print haircalf, nubuck suede, and classic smooth leathers in neutral tones. This latest iteration leans further into statement-making territory while maintaining wearability.
The J.M. Weston and Sacai collection is now available at J.M. Weston boutiques and sacai retail locations worldwide. This marks the third consecutive season that the brands have collaborated, following the successful Fall/Winter 2024 and Spring/Summer 2025 capsule collections. Previous releases included the Worker boot, the Cambre boot, and various versions of classic J.M. Weston designs.
Chitose Abe continues to steer Sacai toward collaborations that challenge conventional footwear design. She favors reimagining classic pieces through unexpected material juxtapositions and structural modifications. The partnership with J.M. Weston enables her to apply these concepts to the time-honored tradition of French luxury shoemaking.
