H&M announces its latest designer collaboration with Copenhagen-based brand Rotate Birger Christensen. Hot on the heels of the sold-out collaboration with Rabanne, this partnership will unveil a 20-item capsule collection for the holiday season 2023, just in time for the festive season. Rotate Birger Christensen, a brand synonymous with statement party dresses, is preparing to bring its unique style to H&M’s global reach.

Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M‘s head designer for womenswear, was enthusiastic about the collaboration. “This collection is perfect for the upcoming party season. Rotate’s approach to fashion is truly upbeat and we are happy to bring such a positive and vibrant message to H&M customers,” she said.
Founded in 2020 as an offshoot of the 150-year-old Danish house Birger Christensen, Rotate Birger Christensen has quickly gained traction in the fashion world. Fashion influencers Jeanette Madsen and Thora Valdimars were instrumental in shaping the brand’s identity, and its first collection featured bold and bright looks, including a puff-sleeve minidress that became an Instagram hit. Pieces from the brand have been worn by celebrities including Gigi Hadid, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Katy Perry.
This capsule collection for H&M will feature eight core shapes and looks reimagined in new colorways. The designers have worked on exclusive designs for H&M, including a striking lavender lace and a unique lavender and black floral print. “Partnering with H&M allows us to infuse a touch of modern magic into our classic Rotate style. Our mood board is brimming with celebratory imagery, elements of Scandinavian glamour and themes of empowerment and femininity,” said Madsen and Valdimars.
The highlight of the collection is the popular mini dress, available in both white and an exclusive floral print. Also featured is a pink ruffled off-the-shoulder mini and a range of other dresses including a blazer style, a midi length and two short body-con styles. These are complemented by a bandeau top and a matching skirt, adding versatility to the collection.
The H&M x Rotate Birger Christensen capsule collection will hit the shelves on November 28th.
