As we get back to life and learn to cultivate our free time and enjoy dressing up again, designers all agree on one thing: we need to leave the pandemic behind and get back to that carefree, pre-COVID19 attitude.
Like MSGM or Dsquared2, the house of Fendi aspired to reclaim that sense of freedom with a casual wardrobe bursting with sunshine and color.
On the runway, flooded with blue light that soothed the minds and bodies of guests, in contrast to the oppressive heat outside, Fendi men paraded in a wardrobe halfway between casual and formal style, dynamic and refined aesthetics.
Many of the pieces were cut from fringed denim, which for Venturini Fendi was synonymous with freedom and nonchalance.
The casual spirit sought was also found in the color palette, with its melon, denim blue, putty, ocher or silver gray, which was both ultra delicate, but also natural and invigorating. The patterns were divided between psychedelic prints and trompe l’oeil effects, while the presence of small embroideries and beads and the use of cowhide added naturalist and artisanal references to the Spring/Summer 2023 collection.
Accessories offered a range of options from tiny denim Peekaboo bags to fringed loafers, shoulder bags, friendship bracelets, Delfina Delettrez Fendi pocket watches, or hand-beaded skate sneakers.
