Adwoa Aboah and Emily Ratajkowski take center stage in the July 7th, 2025, issue of Porter magazine. The two stars, who appear in Lena Dunham’s new Netflix romantic comedy series “Too Much,” share a candid conversation about their evolving friendship, careers, and motherhood journeys. The series, set to release on July 10th, follows a New York workaholic who finds an unexpected connection in London.
For the magazine’s cover, photographed by Felix Cooper, Aboah and Ratajkowski are captured in striking Alaïa bodysuits. Inside the issue, stylist Marquessa Lucas-Box dresses the duo in an array of coveted labels, including Khaite, Skims, Stella McCartney, Wolford, Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello, McQueen and Jacquemus.
Their bond, first formed at the Met Gala eight years ago, has deepened through shared experiences in demanding industries. “We have things that we are both interested in. We’re like full people now. It’s just a different friendship,” Aboah explains of their connection. Ratajkowski adds, “One of the things that I love about our FRIENDSHIP, and where we started to build TRUST with each other, was by talking about our experiences within the INDUSTRY and having this transparency.”
Both models-turned-actresses have been navigating a career change. Aboah reflects on the transition, stating that it was “a really uncomfortable CHANGE for me because I had to withdraw EGO from my own perspective, to move from FASHION into this career that I’m not known for.”

Looking ahead, both women express a desire for simple joys. “I’m manifesting lots of JOY. Making the most of all the small MOMENTS. Relishing in time,” Aboah shares. Ratajkowski echoes this sentiment, emphasizing her gratitude and her focus on creating a home for her son.
