Artistic director Nicolas Di Felice described his Fall/Winter 2022 effort as a mash-up between the brand’s Space-Age heritage and his own narratives, frequently referencing club culture.
Mini lengths paid homage to the brand’s “Space Age” designs, while strapless shift dresses were crafted from two circles sewn together. Elsewhere, large fake leather squares spray were painted on body-con jerseys to conjure the vibes of that 1973 junkyard while diamond-shaped cut-outs on the sides of shiny vinyl dresses featured Di Felice’s take on John Coplan’s paintings. Vinyl was also ever-present in multiple new formats: bodycon dresses, hotpants, and barely-there bikini tops.
