COS unveils its latest Atelier collection, the third in a series of capsules launched during New York Fashion Week. Conceived in the Maison’s London workshop, this collection embodies the very essence of COS’s creative philosophy, focusing on its cuts, craftsmanship, and meticulous fabric selection.
The COS Atelier Fall/Winter 2023 collection draws inspiration from natural prints. Rich browns blend with navy blue and neutral tones, while touches of brushed metal seamlessly transition from day to night. The materials are carefully chosen to provide a certain fluidity, paired with structured cuts. Full-length knitted dresses make a statement alongside a hand-crocheted ensemble, full of texture. The latter consists of a mini-skirt and a wrap-around jacket with a matching knitted hood, all crafted in RMS wool and mohair.
Traditional manufacturing techniques have been reinterpreted to transform the fit of essential classic pieces, giving them a modern silhouette. For both women and men, the outfits are enhanced through deconstruction processes, giving rise to meticulous details, like oversized satin tuxedo lapels. In the women’s wardrobe, a backless blazer made of RWS wool accentuates a draped silk halterneck vest. In the men’s collection, classic suits are reinvented in soft leather and feature contemporary raw edges. Leather also makes an appearance in elements of the women’s wardrobe, while structured bags complement a ready-to-wear coat, crafted from offcuts from the production of other outfits, revealing a unique silhouette with a natural look.

Architectural silver accessories enhance the collection; the bags combine metal details and soft leather. Spheres of recycled silver and brass adorn the belts, leather sandals, and jewelry, exemplified by a series of signature brooches.
The new COS Atelier collection was presented alongside the Maison’s Fall/Winter 2023 ready-to-wear collection at New York Fashion Week and will be available online and in a selection of stores from October 19th.
