Fresh from winning the Andam Prize, Christopher Esber presented his Spring/Summer 2025 collection in Paris, a showcase of innovative design and refined sensuality. The Australian designer’s latest offering builds on his established aesthetic while venturing into new territory.
Christopher Esber Spring/Summer 2025 explores the delicate balance between creative expression and commercial appeal. The collection features sheer bodices, draped skirts and tailored silhouettes that reflect a range of influences from early 20th century undergarments to 1980s draping and Helmut Lang-esque leather suits. Esber’s signature metalwork is evident in cast metal motifs adorned with sea beads that anchor fluid jersey dresses.
Intricate details abound, from hand-beaded ostrich feathers on organza-like grids to the subtle interplay of textures, demonstrating Esber’s dedication to the tactile experience.
The collection’s palette ranges from airy whites and creams to stark blacks, with pops of color in the form of gradient-washed leather suits and polka-dot mesh embellished with ostrich feathers. Sharp tailoring is juxtaposed with fluid silhouettes, creating a dynamic tension between structure and fluidity.
Christopher Esber’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection signals a confident step forward for the brand, demonstrating a continued commitment to evolving design and refined craftsmanship.
