Chanel’s Cruise 2025 (Resort 2025) collection will be presented in Hong Kong on November 5th, 2024. Earlier, the French luxury brand called off a planned repeat presentation of its Cruise 2019 collection in Hong Kong, which was to be held at the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, due to mass demonstrations.
“This event seals historic ties with the city and celebrates Chanel’s attachment to Hong Kong SAR as well as the vibrancy and modernity of its culture,” Chanel said in a statement.
After facing severe restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic, the special administrative region returned to hosting a number of high-profile events in the past 12 months, including Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection last November.

Hong Kong’s local government has invested heavily in bringing global attention back to the city through a cultural lens, particularly with the establishment of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau in 2022.
The Cruise 2025 collection, first launched in Marseille on May 2nd, took place on the rooftop of the Cité Radieuse, an iconic mid-century housing project designed by architect Le Corbusier. The event was attended by celebrities including Lily-Rose Depp, Charlotte Casiraghi and Phoebe Tonkin.
Last year, Chanel held its first major event in mainland China since before the pandemic, when it repeated its Cruise 2024 show in Shenzhen.
