Madrid will be the next destination for the Carolina Herrera runway, as Creative director Wes Gordon prepares to present the Carolina Herrera Spring/Summer 2026 collection on September 18th. The show will mark the brand’s third international presentation and first main collection outside of New York Fashion Week. The event will be preceded by a celebratory dinner on September 17th.
According to Wes Gordon, he has always loved Madrid. He is inspired by the city’s deep history, thriving art scene and iconic landmarks. He admires its vibrant energy and creative community that embraces beauty and joy in its own unique way.
The Madrid runway show builds on Carolina Herrera’s recent successful international presentations, including the Resort 2024 (Cruise 2024) collection in Rio de Janeiro and the Resort 2025 collection in Mexico City.
The city is no stranger to Carolina Herrera’s influence. The Puig-backed fashion house previously collaborated with the Thyssen Museum Madrid in 2023 for its “Celebrating Women in the Arts Initiative,” sponsoring the exhibition “Maestras – Women Masters,” which featured more than 100 artworks by renowned female artists. Gordon has also served as a juror for Vogue España‘s 2024 Fashion Fund.
Gordon often finds new inspiration in Madrid. The city’s vibrant spirit reflects a place where history and modernity meet effortlessly. The Carolina Herrera Spring/Summer 2026 collection will feature special pieces that celebrate Madrid’s local craftsmanship alongside Carolina Herrera’s signature feminine aesthetic. This approach represents Gordon’s vision of incorporating Spanish artisans and creatives into the brand’s collections.
After Madrid, Carolina Herrera plans to return to New York Fashion Week in 2026 and will organize a private client preview event in New York prior to the Madrid showcase.
