BOSS will reveal its Fall/Winter 2023 collection featuring three limited edition pieces made from the groundbreaking Heiq AeoniQ™ fabric. This initiative is part of BOSS’s exclusive “See Now, Buy Now” selection, which represents a significant stride towards sustainable fashion by replacing petroleum-based filaments such as polyester and nylon, thus combating the proliferation of microplastics.
The commitment to sustainability is not new for BOSS, but this collection marks a significant milestone. In a long-term strategic partnership with Heiq AeoniQ, LLC, initiated in 2022, BOSS aimed to replace nylon and polyester with natural fibers by 2030. This partnership was first showcased when Italian tennis player and brand ambassador, Matteo Berrettini, wore the first polo made of Heiq AeoniQ™ at the Australian Open in early 2023. The success of that initiative led to a second limited edition of the polo being featured at the BOSS Open in Stuttgart in June. Now, the collaboration takes a step further with the introduction of three exclusive pieces that combine both style and environmental consciousness.
The limited edition pieces, available on boss.com and selected stores post the runway show scheduled for September 22nd at 9 pm in Milan, includes a double-breasted trench coat with a removable belt for men, designed with a 50/50 blend of merino wool and Heiq AeoniQ™ fabric. This timeless and modern piece features flap pockets, shoulder tabs, and a chest flap. For women, there is also a double-breasted trench coat with a regular fit and removable belt, composed of a 50/50 blend of Heiq AeoniQ™ fabric and Tencel™, a material derived from wood pulp. The final piece in this selection is a stylish unisex bomber jacket, designed for a relaxed silhouette with light quilting and piped pockets. Each piece includes an information text about Heiq AeoniQ™ and an embroidered serial number indicating the garment’s exclusivity.
With embroidered monograms in black, these limited edition pieces not only exude luxury but also symbolize BOSS‘s commitment to a more sustainable fashion future. The partnership with Heiq AeoniQ aims to continue the development of modern, environmentally friendly styles ranging from footwear to denim and beyond for future BOSS collections.
