In an exciting fusion of high fashion and global pop culture, Blackpink‘s Lisa has been named Louis Vuitton‘s newest house ambassador. Known for her daring fashion choices, the K-pop superstar and style icon has been captivating audiences since her debut with the girl group in 2016.
Artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière expressed his excitement for the partnership, saying, “I am very excited to welcome Lisa as a house ambassador. She has a daring spirit and charisma that I find incredibly compelling. She is as bold and creative with her music as she is with her fashion, and it is a privilege to accompany her on this journey.”
Lisa, equally excited about the collaboration, shared, “Nicolas Ghesquière’s identity is strongly reflected in the designs that he creates and that is what makes Louis Vuitton pieces so special. I’m very excited to see how his ideas come to life.” The Thai star’s dynamic fashion sense seamlessly aligns with Ghesquière’s vision for Louis Vuitton womenswear, which celebrates individuality and empowerment.
Hints of the partnership were evident in Lisa‘s appearance at the Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2024 show in Paris and her lyrical shout-out to the house in her single “Rockstar,” where she sang, “Tight dress, LV sent it / Oh shit, Lisa reppin”. Lisa was previously the face of Celine, another LVMH brand.
This ambassadorship marks another milestone in what promises to be one of Lisa’s most significant years yet. In addition to her solo musical endeavors, she is set to make her acting debut in the third season of HBO’s acclaimed series “The White Lotus,” which she filmed in her native Thailand. Details of her character remain under wraps.
Lisa joins an impressive roster of female Louis Vuitton ambassadors, including Zendaya, Emma Stone, Sophie Turner, Ho-Yeon, Ana de Armas and Deepika Padukone. The house also boasts ambassadors from the K-pop world, such as J-Hope from BTS, Felix from Stray Kids and Hyein from NewJeans.
