The Asics Gel-Lyte III, despite commencing the year with strong momentum through collaborations with Ronnie Fieg and mita sneakers, has experienced a quieter period in terms of new releases. However, with the onset of summer, the silence is broken as Asics introduces two fresh shades to its range: the “Arctic Sky” and the “Simply Taupe“.
These two new additions of the Gel-Lyte III represent an unofficial collection, exhibiting distinct color schemes within the same gradient-inspired color block design. One variation features suede panels which transition from dark to a lighter tan, echoing the subtle change from pink to white seen on the midsole. Furthermore, the presence of light blue accents, noticeable on the adjacent branding and shoelaces, serve as a unifying element. This shade of blue is the core hue of the companion colorway, constructing a palette that entirely consists of refreshing cool tones.
