Rising French tennis star Arthur Fils has been making headlines lately, not only for his impressive on-court performances, but also for his latest off-court venture as Lacoste‘s newest brand ambassador. At just 19 years old, Fils, who broke into the men’s top 50 this summer after winning his first ATP singles title at the Lyon Open, is now the face of Lacoste’s apparel and eyewear collections.
This partnership marks a significant milestone in the young athlete’s career, linking him to a brand with a rich tennis heritage. Founded in 1935 by French tennis legend René Lacoste, Lacoste is known for its fusion of elegance and athletic performance. The brand’s commitment to supporting Fils goes beyond the ambassadorship, as it will also provide him with equipment to help him on his path to future victories.

Fils expressed his pride in joining a brand that embodies elegance and authenticity, noting Lacoste’s deep roots in tennis history and its connection to the legacy of René Lacoste and the legendary ”Les Mousquetaires.” “For me, joining Lacoste today means becoming part of a company that is both iconic and on a human scale, and assuring myself of excellent support daily, as well as for major tournaments,” said Fils.
Thierry Guibert, CEO of Lacoste, praised Fils for his infectious energy and humility. “His professionalization is a logical next step in his career, just as it is for us to accompany him every step of the way to victory. What’s more, his desire to inspire the next generation of players and leave a lasting imprint on the world of tennis, while remaining true to his roots, is totally in line with the values we share,” Guibert added.
Born in Bondoufle, a suburb of Paris, Fils began playing tennis at the age of five and is currently coached by former captain of the French Davis Cup team Sébastien Grosjean and two-time Grand Slam winner Sergi Bruguera. His association with Lacoste joins other high-profile ambassadors such as Novak Djokovic, Venus Williams and Daniil Medvedev, and extends beyond tennis to include fencer Ysaora Thibus, polo player Ashleigh Johnson, rifle champion Ruth Mwandumba, gymnast Marcel Nguyen, K-pop star Somi Jeon and actor KJ Apa.
