Ethiopian model Amar Akway dominates the spotlight on the cover of D la Repubblica’s “The Beauty Issue” for April 5th, 2025, shot by photographer Carlijn Jacobs.
The cover story, titled “Full Circle,” also features models Nyajuok Gatdet and Athiec Geng, who join Akway. Stylist Imruh Asha selected pieces from designers such as Duran Lantink, Zomer, Eres, Sportmax, Prada, Issey Miyake, Missoni, Ferragamo and Dior. Hairstylist Laurent Philippon created the hair designs, while make-up artist Sam Visser created the make-up. The set was designed by Olivia Aine and the casting was directed by Piergiorgio Del Moro and Giulia Massullo. The production was directed by Art + Commerce.
