Alexandre Vauthier designed his Spring/Summer 2022 Haute Couture collection with movement in mind. He said he took inspiration from the art, architecture and fashion of the Roaring ’20s in Paris and Berlin.

His new cuts and proportions appeared to nod to formative years spent in the studio with Thierry Mugler, who passed away recently.
Sequins, sharp silhouettes, feathers, and ruffles were all staples of the pieces, which were shown in bold colors like bright red and silver. Fluid, drop-waist dresses with plenty of diaphanous layers had a lightness, offset by more modern touches including his favorite Swarovski-studded slouchy boots.
