The Foldover Tongue, a defining feature of classic models like the Predator Mania, Precision and PowerSwerve, is reimagined in the Predator 30. Once a symbol of elite scoring, this element returns with improved functionality and aesthetics, including rubber fins and a tongue strap for custom styling.

Design elements in the Predator 30 are meticulously crafted to honor the history of the franchise. The emblematic Predator “Eyes” logo adorns the underside of the tongue, while the colorway draws from the classic red, black and white, now presented in a luxurious burgundy to commemorate the franchise’s 30-year journey. In a nod to its origins, only 1994 pairs of the Predator 30 will be available, each pair packaged in a premium box with a gold commemorative plaque and illustrations of the most iconic Predators.
Beyond its historical tribute, the Predator 30 is a forward-thinking boot. adidas incorporated feedback from consumers and athletes, resulting in a number of updates designed to increase confidence in front of the goal. These enhancements serve as a prelude to an all-new Predator model scheduled for release in January 2024.
Sam Handy, VP of Product and Design at adidas Football, reflects on the impact of the Predator: “The introduction of the Predator franchise completely changed how people thought about football boots, both from a performance and a marketing perspective. Over the years, it’s been worn by some of the greatest players of players of their generations, in some of the game’s most historic moments.” He adds, “Reflecting on the last three decades of innovation, we felt the time was right to hit a reset and be inspired by the elements that first made Predator so popular – its look, feel and focus on goalscoring. We’re sure admirers of the early Predator models will be delighted to see the famous tongue making a comeback, and we hope newer fans will enjoy rocking the tongue on pitch for the first time.”
The adidas Predator 30 made its on-field debut on November 29th when Jude Bellingham donned the boot during the UEFA Champions League match between Real Madrid and Napoli.
