| Miu Miu Spring 2027 was presented at the Palais d’Iéna in Paris. The collection was titled “Here and Now.” Olivia Colman, Emma Corrin, Igby Rigney and Gigi Hadid appeared in the presentation. The season included denim developed with Wrangler and a New Balance RC150 collaboration. |
Miuccia Prada approached Miu Miu Spring 2027 by looking closely at the clothes people already wear. Sports bras, track pants, sweaters, office tailoring and simple tops became the starting point rather than a background category. The result was a collection concerned less with replacing the everyday wardrobe than with changing how familiar pieces are combined.

That approach was visible from the opening looks. Athletic garments appeared beside tailored jackets, narrow knits and decorative evening pieces. Embellished bra tops were placed over fitted performance shirts, while loose track trousers were worn with blazers and blouses. Elsewhere, delicate dresses appeared with practical sneakers or layered over sport-derived tops.
Prada described the project as an attempt to bring greater refinement to ordinary clothing. What mattered on the runway was the precision of those combinations. A formal trouser could have an elastic waistband. A fitted dress could sit over a rugby-style shirt. A compact bra top could become the most visible layer of an otherwise conventional outfit.

This season also continued Miu Miu’s interest in abbreviated proportions. Short shorts referenced board and gym styles, while cropped jerseys sat against more structured pieces. Low-waisted skirts and trousers exposed additional layers beneath them, making underwear and sports bras part of the visible construction of an outfit rather than something deliberately concealed.
Several skirts carried much of the collection’s visual weight. Pleated surfaces, contrasting waistbands and low placements gave them a deliberate awkwardness that felt consistent with Miu Miu’s established vocabulary. Gigi Hadid appeared in a glossy pleated skirt worn with a reversed sports bra, one of the clearest examples of the collection’s refusal to separate formal dressing from athletic clothing.

The use of lacing provided another recurring detail. Simple cords replaced conventional belts, tightened garments at the waist and appeared on jeans, skirts and trousers. Rather than functioning only as decoration, they suggested adjustment and improvisation. Similar fastening details also appeared on footwear, including the reworked New Balance RC150.
Materials prevented the collection from becoming too clean or uniform. Suede was treated to look cracked and worn, while satin and gauze carried crystals and decorative surfaces. Denim developed with Wrangler had a used quality that contrasted with the more polished elements nearby. Python-like finishes, checked separates and polka dots added further variation without changing the central idea.

The cast reinforced Miu Miu’s broad cultural reach. Actors including Jamie Bell, Emma Corrin, Olivia Colman, Igby Rigney and Louisa Jacobson appeared alongside established fashion figures, giving the show a deliberately mixed character.
What makes the collection worth examining is its practical question. How can familiar clothing feel considered without becoming overly formal? Miu Miu’s answer is not to abandon sportswear or casual dressing. Instead, it treats them as permanent parts of the contemporary wardrobe and asks what happens when their proportions, materials and styling are handled with greater care.
