Some sneaker collaborations feel like marketing exercises; others make you stop and think. The Asics GEL-QUANTUM 360 I, reworked by C.P. Company, belongs firmly in the latter category. Dropping on March 20th, 2026, it is the second chapter of a partnership that first began in January 2024. This time, it arrives with a sharper sense of purpose than its predecessor.

The concept anchoring the project is called “Architecture in Motion.” It sounds like something a brand strategist invented on a flight to Milan, but in this case, it actually holds true. The concept interprets the contemporary city as a dynamic environment where structure and movement converge, merging performance and aesthetics into a unified system that reflects how the body moves through urban space. In other words, this shoe was built for people who walk fast and care about their appearance while doing it.
The GEL-QUANTUM 360 I is not a new silhouette. Originally introduced in 2015, it was the first Asics sneaker to feature full 360-degree GEL technology in the midsole. This detail gave the shoe both a performance edge and a visual signature that sneakerheads recognized immediately. C.P. Company took that base and pushed it further into the city. The upper is made of double-layer technical jacquard mesh, which adds breathability and structural depth, offering an alternative to the flat paneling typically seen on tech runners. A wraparound lacing system and sculpted outsole ensure that performance and style are on equal footing.

TRUSSTIC technology and external TPU reinforcement provide added stability, and FF BLAST PLUS cushioning keeps the shoe lightweight. You won’t feel like you’re wearing a performance shoe dressed up for Fashion Week. You’ll feel like you’re wearing something carefully considered.
In terms of branding, both companies exercise restraint. The C.P. Company Metropolis Series logo is on the toe. That’s the Italian label’s collection dedicated to high-performance materials and urban-inspired design. The Asics spiral logo appears at the heel. That’s it. There are no oversized graphics or text blasted across the lateral. The result is quiet and confident, as the best collaborations tend to be.

Three colorways make up the pack: “Pure Silver,” “Moroccan Blue,” and “Black Beauty.” The “Black Beauty” colorway will be available exclusively through C.P. Company and Asics, while the other two will be available through select retailers. If you want the darkest colorway, you’ll have to go straight to the source.
To launch the project, the two brands didn’t throw a rooftop party in Paris. Instead, they hosted a small gathering at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris and invited members of their community to participate in a breathwork session that explored the relationship between movement, space, and the body. These are the themes on which the collaboration is built. This was a deliberate move that signals these brands are thinking about their audience as people rather than consumers.

What makes this collaboration noteworthy is how different these two companies are. Asics has over 70 years of experience making athletic footwear. The brand name itself translates from the Latin phrase “Anima Sana In Corpore Sano,” meaning “a sound mind in a sound body.” C.P. Company, on the other hand, was founded in 1971 by Massimo Osti, a young graphic designer from Bologna who would later be recognized as the godfather of urban sportswear. First, he named the brand Chester Perry, then C.P. Company in 1978. What followed were decades of material experimentation that still define the label today.
These two companies have deeply different origins but are both obsessed with how clothing and footwear perform in the real world. The GEL-QUANTUM 360 I is where those obsessions converge.
The shoe will be available starting March 20th, 2026, through official Asics and C.P. Company channels and select retailers worldwide.
