This last chapter in their partnership celebrates both innovation and conscious design, pushing the silhouette into bold new territory.

The new collection reimagines the classic Speedcat silhouette through ROMBAUT’s experimental lens. Three colorways arrive with technical upgrades that bring the 1999 motorsport icon into new territory. Silver mesh and synthetic leather comprise the upper construction, and ROMBAUT’s signature cell bubble detailing creates an organic flow across the shoe’s profile. The original Speedcat’s aerodynamic curves remain intact, but Mats Rombaut’s design language transforms them into something distinctly contemporary.

The silver edition exudes futuristic energy with technical mesh that reflects light from various angles. The second iteration is dominated by white surfaces, where a gum sole anchors soft suede at the toe for textural contrast. Black rounds out the trio, featuring brown distressed tooling that adds depth and rawness to the design. All three versions feature the iconic Levitation sole from the initial collaboration, maintaining continuity with the partnership’s foundation.

ROMBAUT stays true to its commitment to plant-based materials throughout the collection. Since Mats Rombaut founded the label in Paris in 2013, the brand has built its reputation on creating luxury footwear without animal products. High-grade artificial leather and recycled fibers work alongside technical fabrics to meet the durability standards required for performance footwear. This approach aligns with ROMBAUT’s broader vision of advancing sustainable design without compromising aesthetics or quality.

Marc Souvenir shot the campaign imagery, capturing models suspended in natural environments. The images convey a sense of freedom and lightness, depicting the models as if they are floating between earth and sky. Rombaut Studio directed the campaign, and Antonella Simes and Aldana Simes handled the styling. The creative work emphasizes the Levitation concept as an emotional state rather than just footwear innovation, presenting it beyond physical design.
