Against the stunning backdrop of La Cervara Abbey overlooking the Tigullio Gulf, Creative director Camille Miceli presented her vision for Emilio Pucci’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection to an intimate audience of 230 guests. The historic 12th-century monument, with its Renaissance gardens overlooking the sea, provided the perfect backdrop for a presentation timed just before sunset.

At the heart of the collection is the revitalized Marmo print, which first captivated Miceli when she began her tenure at Pucci in 2022. Originally created by founder Emilio Pucci after being inspired by the sunlight rippling through Capri’s Grotta Azzurra, the marble-like pattern appeared throughout the collection in softer shades of sorbet and powder pink against black waves.

Craftsmanship reached new heights this season. Artisans hand-stitched black and white seashells onto blouson tops and fringed skirts, even working diligently backstage during the show. The Marmo motif was transformed into printed sequins, metal eyelets and beaded swirls with a shiny seashell finish.

Other signature Pucci prints made appearances: the Stella print, which pays homage to the moon and stars; the Maddalena (or “gocciolone“), with its expanded drop pattern; and the reimagined Iride and Orchidee prints. “I change the colors, but never the names,” Miceli noted, paying homage to the house’s heritage.

Silhouettes played with proportion and movement. Cloud-like tops met parachute nylon crinolines, while flowing caftans contrasted with asymmetrical tunics. Miceli created trompe-l’oeil effects: “They look like two pieces, but it’s actually one dress.”

Accessories included silver jewelry that resembled tattoos on the skin, echoing the marble print.

The color palette was understated with mostly black, white, and soft shell pinks – a departure from Pucci’s typically exuberant colors – yet maintained the house’s energetic spirit.

The grand finale featured none other than supermodel Naomi Campbell in a stunning black and white sequined number, alongside Kristen McMenamy in a square-cut beaded gown with dramatic fringe.

With this collection, Miceli continues her successful stewardship of the brand. “I think women come to Pucci because when they wear the brand they want to feel special, they don’t want to be part of a uniform crowd,” she observed. “And also because Pucci is synonymous with joy and femininity.”
