On February 8th, Puma unveiled “Welcome To The Amazing Mostro Show“, a groundbreaking event to mark the beginning of New York Fashion Week. Held at the historic Park Avenue Armory in New York, Puma ingeniously transformed the venue with lighting, projections, interactive elements and a musical performance by Eartheater, all to celebrate the revival of its avant-garde, low-profile Puma Mostro sneaker.

First introduced in 1999, the name ‘Mostro‘ is derived from the Italian word for ‘monster‘. Resurrected from Puma’s rich heritage, the sneaker’s distinctive design features include the iconic spiked sole and versatile strap closure. At the event, Alastair McKimm and Puma’s Global Creative director Heiko Desens styled a mix of custom and commercial outfits from Puma’s upcoming Fall/Winter 2024 lineup, all designed to complement the Mostro, the highlight of the event. The Mostro sneaker, originally groundbreaking and now considered a masterpiece, underscores Puma’s unique positioning at the intersection of sport and fashion.
Puma x F1 Creative director A$AP Rocky directed and starred in a Mostro campaign that launched across digital and social channels just prior to the show.
The event featured an impressive list of celebrity attendees including Emily Ratajkowski, Ashley Graham, Davido, Kyle Kuzma, Becky G, Hari Nef, Eartheater, Caleb McLaughlin, GloRilla, Lauren London, Jay Brown, Emory Jones, Rickey Thompson, Yvesmark Chery, Stephanie Hui, Coco Bassey and Harry Hill, making it an unforgettable Fashion Week kick-off.
