For 1017 Alyx 9SM‘s second show on the Milan program, Matthew Williams took over the derelict Franco Scarioni outdoor swimming pool complex on the outskirts of Milan, strutting his models and muses along the mossy, ruined tile path.
Entitled “MOTION“, the Spring/Summer 2023 collection was filled with unisex clothing, halfway between decoded and deconstructed streetwear and the brand’s usual luxury.
With layering as a key element, Williams focused on comfort, offering men’s cargo pants with origami pockets, sleeveless vests with snap buttons and zipper details, loose leather pants or Canadian tuxedos in distressed denim; and women’s flowing bias-cut dresses, shirred drawstring mini dresses or dresses made from technical stretch swimwear fabrics.
The new ALBA and LILA bags, the new Nike x MMW 005 mule and the all-new ARIA sneaker in low and high iterations complete the collection.
