This range introduces another Homer Simpson-inspired shoe, supplementing the previously released Stan Smith. The new NMD G1 Low, imbued with Homer’s essence, boasts a vibrant yellow Primeknit upper, reminiscent of the character’s signature color. With features including light brown suede 3-Stripes and blue details inspired by his pants, Homer’s “D’oh!” catchphrase crowns the design, stitched atop the tongue.
Meanwhile, the adiFOM Superstar pays homage to the iconic series of clouds that grace the show’s introduction. This reimagined classic is adorned with an all-over cloud print, promising comfort as ethereal as the soft, parting clouds that unveil the golden “The Simpsons” logo at the beginning of every episode. A rich blue completes the design, yielding a visually striking sneaker.
The family’s living room, the stage of numerous memorable moments since 1989, is captured in the detailed design of the Forum Low CL. This shoe is a colorful concoction of premium materials that mirror the room’s iconic features and hues. Elements like the vibrant turquoise and pink juxtaposed with drab brown evoke nostalgia, while intricate details like the framed sailboat painting and leather couch dimples immerse fans in a world as iconic as the characters who inhabit it.
Though the exact launch details on adidas.com remain under wraps, sneaker enthusiasts and fans of the show alike can anticipate the arrival of “The Simpsons” x adidas collection in November.
