Acclaimed Chinese actress Tang Wei has been named the new face of Burberry Beauty, expanding her relationship with the iconic British fashion house, following her appointment as global brand ambassador in late November.

Jean Holtzmann, Chief Brands Officer at Coty Inc, Burberry‘s beauty partner, expressed her excitement about the collaboration: “Tang Wei’s passion for artistic expression and commitment to her craft make her a perfect embodiment of Burberry Beauty’s values. We look forward to her representing our iconic and award-winning beauty lines and fragrances.”

The brand itself praised Tang’s qualities, saying, “Tang Wei’s grace and fearless pursuit of excellence embody the essence of Burberry Beauty. Her ability to continually challenge and redefine herself resonates with the brand’s vision of embracing innovation and timeless elegance.”

As the new face of Burberry Beauty, Tang will front several key product lines, including the long-lasting Beyond Wear make-up collection with Trench Protection technology and the luxurious Burberry Goddess fragrance.

Tang shared her excitement about the partnership, saying, “Burberry’s blend of nature and art has always inspired me. I look forward to exploring the unique possibilities with Burberry Beauty.”

This appointment marks another milestone in Tang’s career, which began with her breakout role in Ang Lee’s “Lust, Caution” – a performance that earned her widespread acclaim and thrust her into the spotlight. Since then, she has received numerous awards and accolades, cementing her status as one of the most celebrated Asian actresses of her generation.

Tang Wei’s role as a Burberry Beauty ambassador officially began this month, joining a list of talented individuals representing the brand, including actor Adam Driver and actress Emma Mackey.
