Lacoste has planted its flag firmly in New York with a sleek new flagship store on Fifth Avenue. The 10000-square-foot (929 m²) space opened on April 10th, 2025 and marks a significant step in the brand’s push to expand its presence in the United States.
Located at 575 Fifth Avenue, the new Lacoste flagship welcomes customers daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and offers the most comprehensive collection of the brand’s offerings in North America.
“We are proud to open this flagship in New York,” said Thierry Guibert, CEO of Lacoste. “Lacoste has strong potential in the United States, and we’re pleased to offer new customers the opportunity to discover the brand.”
The executive didn’t mince words about the company’s goals, adding, “Our ambition in the U.S. market is high – we aim to double our business there.”
The design of the Lacoste Fifth Avenue flagship brilliantly captures Lacoste’s dual identity as a fashion powerhouse and sports legend. On the ground floor, visitors encounter the Spring/Summer 2025 runway collection alongside capsules available exclusively at this Fifth Avenue location.
What really sets the space apart is the second level, which is dominated by a deconstructed tennis court installation that stretches from floor to ceiling – a creative nod to the brand’s athletic roots that would surely delight founder René Lacoste himself.

Footwear collections receive significant attention throughout the store, while a dedicated mural highlights the brand’s underwear offerings. Perhaps most impressive is the Polo Wall, which showcases René Lacoste’s most iconic invention in a vibrant spectrum of cuts, materials and colors.
The Lacoste Fifth Avenue flagship thoughtfully acknowledges Lacoste’s historic ties to American tennis. Visitors will see ninety vintage racquets designed by René Lacoste displayed throughout the store, along with subtle references to his 1927 Davis Cup victory in Philadelphia and the legendary Boston match that earned him his “Crocodile” nickname.
From the street, the flagship announces itself with a striking green mirrored façade – a geometric statement piece that reflects the bustling energy of Fifth Avenue, while radiating the brand‘s signature color. Inside, thoughtful material choices, including concrete, wood and metal, create a sophisticated backdrop that references both sports equipment and fashion craftsmanship.
