Son Suk-ku, the multi-talented South Korean actor known for his captivating performances in a variety of genres, has been named the latest brand ambassador for British luxury brand Burberry. With a career spanning over a decade, Son has showcased his acting skills in numerous popular productions, including the Netflix dramas “A Killer Paradox,” “Sense8” and “Deserter Pursuit.”
Son expressed his honor and excitement to begin this new partnership. His ability to seamlessly transition between roles, from a detective in “A Killer Paradox” to a compelling antagonist in the highest-grossing South Korean film of 2022, “The Roundup,” has earned him critical acclaim and mainstream recognition. His portrayal of complex characters has earned him critical acclaim, including the Best New Actor Award at the Korean Film Critics Association Awards for his performance in “The Roundup.’’

Interestingly, Son’s original ambition was to become a documentary filmmaker, which led him to study film and art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Upon his return to South Korea, he took on the role of CEO at GOMT, a machine tool manufacturer, before eventually focusing on his acting career.
According to Burberry, Son represents the spirit of the brand and is a new addition to a community that also includes Chinese actress Tang Wei, Chinese actor Chen Kun, Thai star Bright, footballer Son Heung-min and South Korean actress Jun Ji-Hyun.
