In an exciting revelation from the global fashion arena, Kenzo, the prestigious French luxury brand, has revealed Vernon from the K-pop sensation, Seventeen, as their pioneering global ambassador. This announcement came to light on June 20th, in a keenly-anticipated update to the Kenzo ambassadors list.
Expressing their delight, Kenzo unveiled their collaboration with the 25-year-old K-pop sensation, “We are thrilled to welcome Vernon into the Kenzo universe. His contribution will deepen our connections to the international entertainment scene, propelled by our artistic director, Nigo“.
In the official statement from the house, Nigo expressed his sentiments on Vernon’s inclusion, stating that he is ‘’pleased and grateful to welcome Vernon into the Kenzo family’’.
On the other hand, Vernon shared his enthusiasm for the promising collaboration, stating: ‘’I feel truly lucky and honored to be the global ambassador for Kenzo. I am eager to explore the synergy that this partnership will create and to share this new facet with my fans all around the world’’.
As the freshly minted global ambassador, Vernon is set to feature prominently in a broad array of Kenzo‘s advertising campaigns, spanning across both apparel and footwear segments. It’s also predicted that he will grace the runway at the brand’s forthcoming Spring/Summer 2024 show. Slated to take place in the fashion capital, Paris, on June 23rd, this event is an integral part of the ongoing Men’s Fashion Week.
Hansol Vernon Chwe, a French-Korean artist with dual American and South Korean citizenships, serves as the main rapper and face of Seventeen, a creation of Pledis Entertainment.
