Saint Laurent, the French luxury fashion house, is making its grand entrance into the world of fine jewelry with the announcement of its first-ever collection, Saint Laurent Haute Joaillerie.
Saint Laurent has long been associated with high-quality accessories, but the brand has now taken a bold step forward with the launch of its first dedicated fine jewelry collection. The Saint Laurent Haute Joaillerie line is an exquisite assortment of rings, earrings, cuffs, and necklaces crafted from yellow gold, white gold, and diamonds, showcasing the brand’s signature motifs. Among these eye-catching pieces are designs that feature the iconic YSL logo and the Maillon, Saint Laurent’s oversized chains and links.
The creative force behind this collection is none other than Anthony Vaccarello, the brand’s creative director. Describing the fine jewelry pieces as “functional, collectible pieces“, Vaccarello emphasizes their timeless nature, asserting that they are “at once novel and suited for endless future use regardless of seasons and trends“.
The campaign for Saint Laurent Haute Joaillerie was masterfully executed by renowned photographer Juergen Teller. The visuals brilliantly juxtapose chunky bangles with sleek jersey evening gowns, creating an irresistible allure. By stacking many of the pieces together, the campaign demonstrates that with this striking collection, more is indeed more.
Saint Laurent is joining a growing list of luxury fashion houses, such as Prada, Gucci and Balmain, that have ventured into the fine jewelry market. Long-established brands like Dior and Chanel have consistently created their own fine jewelry, often adorning red carpet celebrities.
The Saint Laurent Haute Joaillerie collection is available for purchase online and in select Saint Laurent stores. Prices for this luxurious line range from approximately 690 euros for a single earring to a staggering 45,000 euros for chunky bracelets and cuffs.
