Brooklyn-based designer Colm Dillane brings his artistic vision to sportswear once again with the latest Puma x KidSuper release. The aptly named collection, “The Gaffers,” celebrates the theatrical personalities who pace the football sidelines with authority and flair.

Dillane’s expressive visuals take center stage across Puma‘s classic silhouettes. The iconic T7 tracksuit receives his painterly treatment with bold patterns that feel nostalgic yet contemporary. A color-blocked windbreaker showcases his talent for making athletic pieces gallery-worthy while maintaining their functionality.
The standout piece is the long, hooded down coat. This sideline essential features Dillane’s playful doodles and KidSuper FC branding, transforming the attire of coaches for decades into something that belongs on city streets as much as on football pitches.

The collection thoughtfully extends into women’s offerings with leggings and long-sleeve shirts that carry the same design DNA. Rather than feeling like afterthoughts, these pieces demonstrate how sportswear can translate across different wardrobes while maintaining artistic integrity.
Two sneaker silhouettes anchor the footwear component. The Puma Brasil, originally from the 1970s, returns with distressed uppers and gum soles that evoke football’s golden era. Its low profile and faded finish suggest years of wear on the pitch, even when fresh from the box.

The V-S1 represents a more modern approach. Drawing from early 2000s performance designs, it features asymmetrical lacing and bold accents. Dillane covers the upper with a grassy texture that references football fields directly, making the connection between sports and streetwear unmistakable.
“The Gaffers” presents two opposing coach archetypes. One embodies a brash and loud approach, where intensity drives every decision. The other represents suave composure, where style becomes a form of authority. The campaign frames this as a contrast between clipboards and cologne, showcasing how different personalities can coexist.

Dillane appears in the ensemble cast, reinforcing his role as not only designer but also creative director of this sporting saga. The Brooklyn rooftop pitch where KidSuper FC plays provides an authentic backdrop that connects the collection to real soccer culture.
Smaller pieces maintain the collection’s cohesive vision. The Grip Bag functions as a practical item and a brand statement. Beanies and caps extend the KidSuper FC brand into everyday essentials that supporters can wear year-round.

The collection will launch on September 1st, 2025, on Puma’s website and in its flagship stores and select stockists worldwide.
