Puma breathes contemporary elegance into one of its most iconic silhouettes, reviving three archival Speedcat models in rich brown suede and polished silver details. This refined trio blends motorsport heritage with modern craftsmanship, reintroducing a late-’90s favorite through a fresh, elevated lens.

Puma taps into its archives to deliver a trio of shoes that appeal to collectors who prefer subtle refinement to loud branding.
The Speedcat Wedge returns with a concealed heel that alters the proportions of the original low-slung design. The added height gives wearers a new option without abandoning the sleek lines that made the Speedcat a cult favorite.

The Speedcat Ballet takes cues from classic ballet flats and features an updated strap closure that references dance footwear. The silhouette maintains the Speedcat’s racing DNA while offering a refined alternative for those who want something different.
The Speedcat OG stays true to the original from 1999. Puma designed this version based on the archival model that first appeared over two decades ago, maintaining the motorsport silhouette.

All three models come in brown suede with metallic silver accents. Photographer Renata Kats, who worked on the campaign, describes the colorway with straightforward appreciation: “It’s the color of subtle luxury. I like the subtle contrast between suede, brown, and silver. It’s really sleek. It’s really beautiful, I like it.“

The material choices prioritize quality over flashiness. Brown suede has emerged as a go-to neutral for footwear brands looking to offer an alternative to black and white, and Puma embraces that trend in this campaign.
Pumaance. Stylist Lea Waldberg pairs the Speedcat Wedge with baggy pants tucked inside, taking advantage of the shoe’s elevated profile.

Waldberg sums up her approach to the Speedcat in one word: “Ludique. It’s important to have fun with clothes. Speedcats are classic, but they’re also fun.“
Ballet dancer Madeline Woo connects the Speedcat Ballet to her work, noting how the straps echo traditional dance footwear. She emphasizes finding joy in her work, stating simply, “That’s how I find the joy.”

The new Puma Speedcat pack will be available on December 4th, 2025, on puma.com, in flagship stores, and at select retailers.
