Presented at the historic Palazzo Melzi d’Eril building that formerly housed Krizia’s headquarters and that will be the home of the brand’s first hotel, restaurant and club, Philipp Plein’s new seasonal offering took place in front of images of glowing flames projected over a runway made of mirrors.

Although the collection was less bling than previous ones, Philipp Plein’s signature elements were still present, with crystal logos on the back of varsity jackets, biker jackets in python or fully encrusted with sequins, or with shiny leather pieces.
The silhouettes, however, remained casual as usual while the sportswear influences remained strongly palpable. The designer also introduced a full print of wild animals this season, from giraffes to lions, hippos to monkeys, as well as imaginary basketball team logos and insignia that adorned a series of varsity jackets.
