British designer Paul Andrew has been appointed as the new Creative director of Sergio Rossi. Andrew, who brings a wealth of experience and an innovative design sensibility, will present his debut collection for the brand’s Fall/Winter 2025 season.
Helen Wright, CEO of Sergio Rossi, praised Andrew’s remarkable talent and ability to capture the imagination of the brand’s diverse audience. “Paul Andrew is a remarkable and exciting talent to lead the creative direction of our legendary Sergio Rossi brand. He is admired across the world for his innovative footwear design and technical fluency. He brings a deep respect for our brand heritage, an instinctive understanding of our diverse audiences, and above all a vibrant creativity that will capture the imagination of the Sergio Rossi woman of today and tomorrow,” she said.
As Creative director, Andrew will oversee all footwear lines within the brand, including the men’s collection. The Sì Rossi by Sergio Rossi line, which caters to a younger demographic, will be discontinued from Spring/Summer 2025, with key styles and carryovers integrated into the main line.

Andrew’s impressive career in the footwear industry includes notable stints at Salvatore Ferragamo, where he joined as design director of women’s footwear and was named Creative director of womenswear the following year. In 2019, he was promoted to Creative director with oversight of all categories. He left Ferragamo in 2021.
Andrew first gained recognition in 2013 with the launch of his eponymous footwear label, which earned him the prestigious CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award the following year.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Andrew said, “I am honored and delighted to join Sergio Rossi as creative director, a world-renowned house of shoemaking whose roots and legacy speak to the lasting power of Italian savoir-faire. And I look forward to building upon Sergio Rossi’s own unique spirit of innovation and high craft as we propose a bright new vision for the brand today.”
The appointment comes at a time of strategic transformation for the brand under CEO Wright’s leadership. Owned by the Lanvin Group and based in San Mauro Pascoli, Italy, Sergio Rossi aims to uphold its rich heritage while catering to the evolving tastes of its clientele.
Eric Chan, CEO of Lanvin Group, expressed his confidence in Andrew’s ability to lead Sergio Rossi into a new era of success, while Zhen Huang, Chairman of Lanvin Group, celebrated the brand’s seven decades of unmatched craftsmanship and artisanal excellence.
Previously, Sergio Rossi’s collections were created by his own team. For two years, Greek influencer Evangelie Smyrniotaki served as Artistic director. This new appointment comes after the departure of Riccardo Sciutto in 2023. He had successfully led the brand after it was bought by the Lanvin Group in 2021.
With Andrew at the helm, Sergio Rossi is poised for an exciting evolution that blends tradition with innovation, promising a bright future for the Italian luxury footwear label.
