Palm Angels, the renowned Milan-based fashion brand, has made a significant move into the APAC region, opening its first boutique in Seoul. In partnership with Forward Global Fashion Co., Ltd., an international leader in the fashion industry, the new store brings the classic Milanese taste of Palm Angels and the brutalist aesthetic of Los Angeles to the Korean capital, creating an unforgettable shopping experience for fashion enthusiasts.
Palm Angels has steadily expanded its global retail presence, with boutiques in Milan, Miami, and Las Vegas. The Seoul store opening marks another major milestone in the brand’s international development plan. Situated at 18-2, Dosan-daero 45-gil, Gangnam-gu, a prestigious luxury shopping destination in Seoul, the boutique is housed within the Forward Global Fashion building and spans two floors, covering a total area of 150 square meters.
The boutique’s interior design is characterized by pink concrete-finished walls, with elements of whitened cedar wood and pink calacatta marble creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. Burnished stainless steel racks and geometric lines in the furnishings complement the Palm Angels menswear, womenswear, kid’s line, and accessories collections. In the changing rooms, customers are enveloped in a wallpaper depicting primordial fern outlines, evoking the essence of a Californian landscape.
Francesco Ragazzi, the brand’s Founder and Creative director, expressed his excitement about the Seoul opening and the partnership with Forward Global Fashion, stating, “The store tells the whole Palm Angels story as it perfectly embodies the emotions, inspirations, and values of the brand”. The boutique was designed by Palm Angels’ internal architects’ team, working closely with Ragazzi to create a space that reflects the brand’s DNA, showcasing the iconic collections in a captivating and eclectic layout.
To mark the Seoul store’s opening, Palm Angels has also introduced an exclusive capsule collection as a tribute to the city, available from April 10th.
Francesco Ragazzi, A Milan-born Art director with a background in Fashion Communication, initiated the Palm Angels venture in 2011 by capturing Los Angeles skate culture through photography. This initial effort resulted in a Rizzoli-published book in 2014, followed by the launch of a clothing line in 2015. Ragazzi employs his keen photographic eye to document a distinct yet lasting subculture within his collections. His objective is to adapt crucial elements and reinterpret them into fresh meanings while preserving their genuine essence and ability to narrate stories – their unique narratives.
