After more than a decade in the shadows, the Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Pine Green” is finally making its return. First released in 2011 and instantly recognized for its shifting iridescent shell, the silhouette has grown into one of the most sought-after Foamposite Pro colorways. As its long-awaited comeback approaches, anticipation is high among collectors and fans eager to see this cult classic back in the spotlight.

What makes this colorway stand out is its color-shifting iridescent upper. Depending on how light hits it, the molded polyurethane shell changes from green to purple to gold. Nike‘s official colorway description is simply “Pine Green/Black,” but the shoe offers far more visual complexity than that suggests.
The original 2011 release earned serious respect from Foamposite collectors. Its unique appearance and limited availability made it one of the most sought-after Pro colorways. Now that it’s returning, expect high demand when pairs hit shelves at $240.

The Air Foamposite Pro differs from the Foamposite One model that Penny Hardaway popularized. While Hardaway’s signature shoe featured his “1 Cent” logo, the Pro version has a large TPU Swoosh on the lateral side instead of that branding. This made it a team shoe rather than a player-exclusive model.
Ray Allen wore the Pro in Spike Lee’s 1998 film He Got Game, specifically the “Pearl” colorway. Tim Duncan also wore the Pro during his NBA career. The shoe gained credibility by being worn by multiple athletes rather than being tied to one star.

Recently, Nike has been promoting the Air Foamposite Pro more aggressively. The “Pearl” pair from He Got Game just returned, and 2026 will bring more releases: “Gym Red,” “Green Camo,” “University Blue,” and “Voltage” colorways are all scheduled to return next year.
New versions are coming, too. Glow-in-the-dark and college football-themed Pros are expected to launch in 2026. It’s clear that the Swoosh sees potential in bringing this model back into rotation after years of limited attention.

You can purchase the Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Pine Green” (style code: HF0794-300) on December 19th at 10 a.m. ET. It will be available on the Nike SNKRS app, at Foot Locker, and at Snipes.
