Nicholas Galitzine, a rising British actor known for his performances in hit movies and TV shows, has stepped into the world of fashion, making a remarkable debut as Fendi’s first-ever global menswear ambassador. In this pivotal role, Galitzine fronts Fendi’s initial men’s fashion campaign, reinforcing his already burgeoning relationship with the luxury Italian fashion label, which is part of the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton empire.
The actor’s engagement with Fendi initiated last year when he graced the 25th-anniversary celebration of Fendi’s iconic Baguette line in New York and attended their 2023 Fall/Winter men’s fashion show. The partnership strengthened further during the filming of the campaign in which Galitzine starred alone, captured by the creative lens of renowned Italian artist Nico Vascellari.
Accompanied by a video directed by Vascellari, the campaign will feature colored images of Galitzine adorning key pieces and accessories from the Fendi collection, crafted under the visionary leadership of Silvia Venturini Fendi, the brand’s artistic director of accessories and menswear. These images are slated to go live worldwide in print and on billboards starting this month.
Parallel to his emerging fashion journey, Galitzine’s acting career continues to thrive. He recently made waves with his Netflix film “Purple Hearts“, and will soon be seen in Amazon Prime Video’s “Red, White & Royal Blue“, alongside Taylor Zakhar Perez. This highly anticipated film, directed by Matthew López, is an adaptation of the New York Times bestselling novel by Casey McQuiston, scheduled for release on August 11th.
Adding to his portfolio, Galitzine will feature in the upcoming MGM teen comedy “Bottoms“, by Emma Seligman, which has already premiered at this year’s SXSW film festival and is due for theater release at the end of August. The actor also recently wrapped up shooting for the eagerly awaited “The Idea of You” by Michael Showalter, where he shares the screen with Anne Hathaway. Galitzine will also co-lead in the forthcoming historical drama series “Mary & George“, produced by Sky and AMC, starring alongside Julianne Moore.
Reflecting on his career, Galitzine stated, “My plans for the future are to push myself creatively and to try and establish a body of work that is meaningful to people. I keep finding new ways to express myself, whether that’s through acting or music and now in fashion. I hope that journey continues”.
Previously, Galitzine earned critical acclaim for his role in “Handsome Devil“, a movie directed by John Butler, which bagged the best picture at the 2017 Dublin International Film Festival. He also starred in “The Watcher in the Woods” TV film featuring Anjelica Huston and played a leading role in Prime Video’s “Cinderella” movie in 2021, alongside Camila Cabello.
