First outing as creative director for Alberto Caliri, right-hand designer of Angela Missoni for the past 12 years, who held court in her new role as the company’s president.

With his debut collection, Caliri presented an incredibly fun and sexy show that simultaneously reinvented classic ’70s styles, incorporated the house’s beloved knitwear, and played off of current trends. He clearly also held an emphasis on the body and skin this season, showing off bikini bottoms and tops that had high cuts and plunging necklines.
Artsy patchworks, evoking the eccentric tapestries of Tai Missoni, beloved founder of the fashion house, were assembled creating the constructions of small pieces wrapping around the body with immediate, yet precious lightness.
Declaration of love, supreme act of freedom… Missoni celebrated the return to life with joy and stubborn optimism.
