Following a brief hiatus, Michael Kors returns to New York City to present his romantic ready-to-wear collection in no other than Central Park, a stone’s throw from his 5th Avenue store.

The show notes indicated that Kors was thinking of Spring/Summer 2022 as an “urban romance” with “a sleek, streamlined take on romantic silhouettes”.
Thus, he presented a series of timeless pieces that serve as a love letter to New York, a city he always loves and to which he already paid homage for his 40th-anniversary collection last season. But contrasting his Fall/Winter 2021 offering, this collection is reminiscent of his Spring/Summer 2021 presentation, and is filled with minimalist colour palettes and refined elegance. An array of dresses, suits, skirts, and jackets epitomized spring elegance and looked picture-perfect for an American spring garden party.
Nostalgia and romanticism were obvious inspirations, with nods to 50’s style capri pants, swing dresses and A-line shapes, along with 60’s inspired gingham and pencil skirts woven throughout the collection.
