Australian fashion label Matteau has reached its 10-year milestone and is celebrating with an exclusive collection in partnership with luxury retailer Moda Operandi, honoring a relationship that began in 2019 when the e-commerce platform became one of the brand’s earliest supporters.
Sisters Peta Heinsen and Ilona Hamer, who founded Matteau and design between Sydney and Los Angeles, have created a 13-piece collection that perfectly captures their signature aesthetic of refined simplicity. The collection maintains their recognizable minimalist approach while introducing new fabrications and colorways for the summer season.

The new Matteau x Moda Operandi collection focuses on packable, travel-friendly pieces ideal for warm-weather wardrobes. Familiar silhouettes are refreshed through fabric choices and seasonal hues.
Moda Operandi’s April Hennig notes the collection’s balance of simplicity and sophistication. Crisp poplin, lightweight linen and refined knits define the offering. The assortment ranges from elevated everyday essentials to effortless options for evening occasions.
The collection includes updated versions of Matteau’s signature pieces. A fisherman drawstring pant appears in organic cotton-silk, while linen and cotton dresses come in lemon and rosewater hues. The signature Breton stripe t-shirt gets a soft rose stripe variation.

Photographed in Lanzarote by Ilona Hamer, the campaign features model Britt Oosten in relaxed yet polished looks.
Ranging in price from $240 USD to $650 USD, the collection is available on both brands‘ websites.
