Milan-based luxury house Marni tapped the talents of Venezuelan artist Magdalena Suarez Frimkess to celebrate the Year of the Water Tiger on February 1, 2022.
The “Year of the Tiger” capsule collection features a limited range of tiger-themed ready-to-wear looks and accessories.
Suarez’s playful illustrations of the tiger appear on all pieces in the collection, including the brand’s iconic bowling shirts, in print, embroidery, jacquard and even 3D in the case of some accessories. The unmistakable tiger skin inspired the bold graphics of colorful mohair knits, while retro colors, such as turquoise, jade, aquamarine or ruby, shade the naively-drawn tiger, the true star of the collection.
