Kiko Kostadinov and Levi’s have joined forces to create captivating capsule collections. The collaborative project, which debuted at the March and June 2024 Paris Fashion Week, showcases the unique design philosophies of both brands.
For the menswear collection, Kiko Kostadinov breathed new life into Levi’s iconic Engineered Jeans from the 1990s. The reimagined pieces feature a distinctive knee and elbow darting construction, adorned with diamond inserts inspired by traditional Bulgarian motifs. These design elements not only add visual interest, but also provide functional ventilation through strategically placed eyelets within the diamond panels.
The menswear capsule perfectly encapsulates Kostadinov’s signature blend of conceptual design and utilitarian functionality, particularly evident in the brand’s first foray into denim. A hybrid jersey style, inspired by classic sportswear cardigans and western shirts, rounds out the collection. This unique piece features asymmetric front openings, side patch pockets and meticulous topstitching, showcasing the attention to detail that defines the collaboration.
Turning to the womenswear capsule collection, designers Laura and Deanna Fanning have skillfully incorporated celebrated Levi’s designs into the Kiko Kostadinov woman’s wardrobe. The collection revolves around the three-piece denim suit and Levi’s engineered garments, all crafted in rich umber tones with intriguing fuzzy textures and stripes.
The jeans in the womenswear capsule offer a relaxed, comfortable fit, while the Denim Jacket takes center stage with its innovative dual-mode design. The jacket features large, sculpted sleeves and a darted, waist-cinching vest overlay for style and versatility.
The capsule is already available at levi.com, the Levi’s app, select Levi’s stores, Kiko Kostadinov Tokyo and kikokostadinov.com.
