Kenzo and Converse have just unveiled their first collaboration, a line of Converse Chuck 70 sneakers that draw on the archives and collegiate energy of the ’80s. The partnership, spearheaded by Kenzo’s Artistic director Nigo, delivers a playful twist on an American staple.
The collection features three bold colorways: a high-top Sweet Corn version and two low-top options in Pink Cosmos and Cypress. Each shoe showcases Kenzo‘s signature Hana Leopard motif, drawing inspiration from the 1980s, a defining era for both labels.

Design details reveal meticulous craftsmanship throughout. The shoes feature geometric winged stitching on both sides of the upper and screen-printed Chuck Taylor patches with intentional imperfections that reference original manufacturing techniques. The high-top model features a distinctive “pinched” collar that adds dimensional interest.
Kenzo’s influence is evident through the iconic Boke flower inlay on the outsole and a special charm featuring the fashion house’s latest graphic element.

The campaign imagery focuses on collegiate themes, capturing the youthful energy of campus life and the spirit of youthful exploration. The visuals reflect Nigo‘s appreciation for classic American style while staying true to Kenzo’s bold, optimistic spirit.
The Kenzo x Converse Chuck 70 collection will be available April 17th, 2025 on the Kenzo and Converse websites, Kenzo stores and select retailers.
