As the golden glow of Lollapalooza music festival still hangs over Chicago, the K-pop sensation, Tomorrow X Together (TXT), ascends to a new fashionable dimension – becoming Dior’s brand ambassadors. Indeed, the whispers were true when audiences got a dazzling preview of this collaboration through TXT’s Dior-adorned ensembles, exclusively tailored for their groundbreaking performance.
Kim Jones, Dior’s revered artistic director, painted the quintet’s vision to life on stage. Enveloping members Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai, these outfits echoed the transcendental essence of his Pre-Fall 2023 collection, reminiscing the magical realms of Egypt where it was showcased last December.
Kim Jones shared his admiration, stating, “Tomorrow X Together are the perfect ambassadors for Dior. They have a great attitude and style and they look great in their custom stage outfits“. Recognizing this evolution, Dior proclaims, “This monumental moment commemorates their amity with Kim Jones and Dior. The South Korean singers now embody the spirit and singularity of Dior style, a modernity with a timeless signature“.
Soobin, leading the group, reflected on the milestone, expressing, “Our headlining at Lollapalooza was one of the most significant performances of our career. It was truly an honor to share the stage with Dior, and we hope to continue to show Tomorrow X Together’s versatility through this partnership“.
TXT’s “Sugar Rush Ride” has earned a nomination for Best K-pop at the MTV Video Music Awards scheduled for September 12th.
Dior’s embrace of K-pop’s worldwide allure isn’t new. Their foresight had previously bedecked BTS during their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” tour in 2019. Additionally, BTS’ Jimin, a recent addition to Dior’s global ambassadors, magnetized legions of admirers during the January menswear reveal. Astro’s Cha Eun-woo and Exo’s Sehun represent Dior Men’s as ambassadors, and Blackpink’s Jisoo has championed the brand’s womenswear since 2019.
