French fashion brand Jacquemus has made its mark on the Big Apple with the opening of its first New York boutique. Located at 143 Spring St. in SoHo, the stunning new space showcases the brand’s signature aesthetic and full product range in a meticulously curated environment.
Designed in collaboration with architectural firm OMA, the 2,906-square-foot (270 m²) store spans two floors of a 19th-century townhouse, seamlessly integrated with a contemporary glass addition.

Simon Porte Jacquemus, the brand’s founder, has given the space his personal touch, creating an intimate atmosphere as if inviting customers into his own home. This approach is evident in the thoughtful selection of furniture and artwork throughout the store.
The exterior, painted a crisp oyster white, presents a unified facade that draws the eye. Large windows offer passersby a tantalizing glimpse of the whitewashed interior, creating an inviting ambiance that beckons fashion enthusiasts to step inside.

Once through the doors, visitors are greeted by a harmonious blend of minimalist design and warm touches. The interior plays with contrasts, with a double-height void in the townhouse section and an outward-facing glass extension that evokes the feel of a chic Parisian terrace.
Bourgogne stone flooring, sourced directly from France, is laid in a pattern inspired by the paving of grand castles. This elegant foundation is complemented by alternating white stucco and light wood walls, creating a contemporary backdrop for the brand’s colorful collections.
Custom wrought-iron railings and coat racks, crafted by skilled Italian artisans, add a touch of Provençal charm to the space. These custom elements integrate seamlessly with furniture designed by OMA and pieces from Jacquemus’ own collection, creating a cohesive and stylish environment.
Art lovers will appreciate the carefully curated selection of works on display. Lithographs by Aristide Maillol and Joan Miró share space with photographs by Peter Schlesinger and Wolfgang Tillmans, adding depth and character to the boutique’s aesthetic.
The New York store marks Jacquemus‘ first permanent retail presence in the United States and reflects the brand’s growing global influence.
