Isabel Marant, the renowned French designer, has teamed up with Converse to launch her first-ever sneaker collection. The collaboration seamlessly blends Marant’s signature bohemian aesthetic with the timeless appeal of Converse’s iconic silhouettes, creating a range of fashionable and functional footwear for men and women.
The star of the collection is undoubtedly the Chuck 70 Wedge, which features a striking 2.5-inch heel that adds a touch of elevation to the classic sneaker design. Marant’s unique design elements such as frayed cotton and polyester jacquard, raw-edged canvas, multicolored laces and translucent outsoles are prominently featured throughout the collection, offering a slightly worn-in, vintage-inspired look that perfectly encapsulates her signature style.
In addition to the Chuck 70 Wedge, the collaboration also introduces several other iterations of the Chuck 70, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences. The collection, which includes approximately 50 styles for men and 30 styles for women, as well as a selection of shoes and bags, will launch on isabelmarant.com and in Marant boutiques on September 11th, with a wider release through Converse distribution channels on September 12th.
The campaign, shot by acclaimed photographer Steven Meisel, taps into the current Y2K-inspired fashion trend that has taken the industry by storm, especially among Gen Z consumers. The images showcase the versatility and appeal of the collection, highlighting how these sneakers can be seamlessly integrated into a variety of fashion-forward looks.
